FAQ - Boston

Yes! Our postpartum doulas travel to Back Bay, Jamaica Plain, South Boston, Dorchester, Cambridge, Brookline, Somerville, and throughout Greater Boston.
-
Overnight doulas don’t need a separate bedroom. Most often, we’re set up in a living room or main room area, separate from the parents’ bedroom, with a comfortable spot such as a couch, daybed, or fully reclining chair and a blanket and pillow. For meaningful rest and recovery, we recommend that the baby sleep in the same room as the doula—or in a nearby nursery with a video monitor—instead of the parents’ room. This arrangement allows parents to get uninterrupted sleep while the doula manages all newborn needs, ensuring safe and responsive care even in smaller homes or apartments.

Many Boston families live in buildings with secured entry, elevators, or shared spaces, and our doulas are very familiar with navigating them. We’ll work with you to set up the easiest, most discreet way to come and go—whether that’s a guest code, key fob, concierge check-in, or meeting us at the door at the start of a shift. Our goal is to keep things simple, quiet, and stress-free so your rest isn’t interrupted when we arrive for overnight support.

Parking in the city and nearby areas is challenging. Some team members use public transport, but for those driving, parents must provide parking nearby. Any parking fees or tickets are the parent's responsibility.
