Hi, I'm Ade!

My journey into postpartum work is deeply personal. I'm a mom of two, and both of my babies arrived early. Going through those first weeks here in the U.S. without the support so many new mothers need showed me how emotionally and physically demanding that season can be. It stayed with me.

I have Nigerian roots, and I grew up understanding that when a baby arrives, the community gathers around the mother. Those values, along with my own experiences, showed me how much it means to have someone in your corner during such a big, transformative time. I wanted to be that person for other families, someone who helps you feel supported, reassured, less alone and more confident.

Because I've lived through preterm births myself, I have a special heart for families navigating the uncertainty of a NICU stay and the transition home. As a professionally trained NICU doula, I know how much those first days and nights at home can hold, and I believe every family deserves compassionate, individualized support while they find their rhythm.

I'd describe my approach as warm, nurturing and family-centered. Every family's journey is different, so I never assume that what worked for me, or for another family, will work for yours. I take the time to learn your needs, your values and your parenting goals, and I meet you right where you are, without judgment. You can count on me to be a calm, steady presence who listens when you need to be heard and offers evidence-based guidance when you're unsure. And my support goes beyond the baby. I'm there for your recovery and for the well-being of your whole family.

I especially love supporting first-time parents, NICU graduates, bottle and combo feeding families, and big brothers and sisters getting used to a new baby. I can help with feeding, gentle sleep shaping, meal prep and household help, and because I'm Adult Mental Health First Aid certified, I always keep an eye on how you're doing emotionally, too.

On an overnight doula, I follow your feeding plan and handle diaper changes, soothing, settling and safe sleep. I'll wash the bottles and pump parts, take care of the baby laundry, and lend a hand around the house, so you can focus on rest and recovery knowing your little one is safe and well looked after. My hope is that when I leave in the morning, you feel physically rested, emotionally supported, and ready to welcome the day with your baby.

I hope the families I support would describe me as compassionate, calm, dependable, thoughtful and empowering. Above all, I want you to know you have someone you can trust, someone who is truly in your corner.

When I'm not with families, you'll find me making memories with my family through travel and cheering on my daughters at swim and dance. I hit my 10,000 steps every day, sing in my church choir, and I never pass up a good couponing deal.

Whether you're bringing your baby home from the NICU or settling in with your very first, you don't have to do this alone. I'd be honored to walk alongside you.
